Keep the feet moving...

Hey Fellow Challengers,

How's life treating ya? I figure if I am still able to call myself a member of the land of the living..life ain't that bad! Ok, I am going to get right to it...this gym thing is for the BIRDS...LOLOL! There is no way that I am going to sit here and tell you lovely people that excersing is FUN...my body is often telling me that I need to go somewhere and sit down..smile! l feel a MADEA (Tyler Perry) moment creeping up but for your sake I will try my best to get a hold of her....LOLOL!

Today I went to the gym and lifted some weights...boy if you all could have only seen me...I have come to the conclusion that I really don't know what in the world I am doing. This would be where I would at least tell you what I did-being that I have don't have an idea of what the machines are called...let just say the weights and I had a good conversation...smile.

At any rate, the great thing is at least I'm trying. Have you ever had a reality check that would send you to any diet center in America? Well, I did...I took a side view of my body and let's just say there was NOT a vision of being Halle Berry!!!! Man, I saw this thing that looked like a kangaroo pouch...I stood there looking in the mirror...thinking " the Devil is a Lie...I am NOT about to put up with this...LOLOLOL! Anywho, all in all my journey is going well and I hope yours in too..smile!

Stay prayed up, Blessed and Highly Favored!

Kai

Dr. Ian's Weekly Tip

Reduce your stress.Don't worry, be happy! That's important when it comes to losing weight. Several studies have shown that stress leads to all types of bad habits, especially when it comes to eating. If you reduce your stress, you have a better chance of being successful on an eating program and losing weight. Try meditating, doing yoga, listening to your favorite music, walking, reading a book, or any other activity that helps you relax. Stress reduction is also good for your cardiovascular system, so your heart will thank you as well!

Creating a healthier lifestyle stretches beyond diet and exercise. You have to pay special attention to your mind and soul as well. Make room in your busy schedule and find a moment for yourself. It doesn't have to be a lot of time- you can create an extra 10 to 20 minutes in your day by waking up a little earlier, have lunch on your own or even delay turning on the TV until you've had time to clear your mind.

You can manage your stress. Be intentional and find time to relax, and you'll gain a stronger perspective on what is truly important in your life. Best ~ Dr. Ian
